Automatic email forwarding
Forward your emails to Fullwhere
Refer to your email provider's instructions below to start forwarding your emails to Fullwhere.
Set up email forwarding in Google Workspace
This approach is recommended for transferring from Google because it does not impose rate limits and does not require creating a dedicated inbox. You will need administrator access to perform this configuration.
Step-by-step instructions:
Sign in to your Google Workspace admin console at https://admin.google.com/ using your administrator credentials.
Go to Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail.
Find the "Default routing" section in the Gmail settings and select Configure to create a new routing rule.
When adding the setting:
Enter your support email address (eg: [email protected]) in the "Envelope recipient" field.
Under the "Envelope recipient" option, check "Change envelope recipient" and enter your Fullwhere forwarding address (which you copied from your Fullwhere settings) in the "Replace recipient" field.
Save your changes in the Google Workspace admin console.
Now, edit the rule you just created and make sure the setting under the "Options" section is set to: "Apply this action to recognized and unrecognized addresses."
Note: Changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate, although they sometimes take effect more quickly.
Warning: Ensure that the "Disable forwarding" option is not selected in your Gmail settings, as this could block automatic forwarding to Fullwhere.
Set up email forwarding in Microsoft 365
Step-by-step instructions:
Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center at https://admin.microsoft.com/ with your administrator credentials.
Select the mailbox for which you want to configure forwarding:
Shared mailbox: On the home page, go to Teams & groups > Shared mailboxes. Select the mailbox in question, then click Edit in the "Email forwarding" section.
User: On the home page, go to Users > Active users. Select the user, click the Mail tab, then select Manage email forwarding.
In the configuration side panel, check the box "Forward all emails sent to this mailbox."
Then enter your Fullwhere forwarding address (which you copied from your Fullwhere settings), click Save, and exit the admin center.
Automatic forwarding must be enabled in your outbound anti-spam policy before attempting to verify the configuration. This setting is located in the Microsoft Defender. If you receive a message stating that "Your organization does not allow external forwarding", contact your Microsoft 365 administrator to change these settings. It can take up to an hour for this change to take effect.
All forwarding configurations must be performed via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and not via Outlook on the web (OWA).
Set up email forwarding with other providers
These methods are only suitable for low transfer volumes. Exceeding rate limits may result in message slowdowns or account blacklisting.
Documentations
It is recommended to use a direct mailbox to forward emails to ensure sender information remains intact. Avoid configurations where email forwarding alters the "From" header, as is the case with Google Groups. Use Google Workspace Advanced Routing for high-volume configurations or Standard Routing for low-volume needs.
Once automatic email forwarding is successfully configured, the next step is to authenticate your domain if this has not yet been done. Domain authentication is essential for email forwarding to work properly because, without it, forwarded emails could fail verification in Fullwhere.
